Every sport has a ladder system.
Baseball champions start training in Little League. Hockey stars learn to skate in Pee-Wee leagues. Future football forces show their talents in Pop Warner. In Europe, kart racing has long been the official start of the car racing ladder.

In North America, Karting has been gaining fast as the training ground for future car racing champions. In fact, from Michael Schumacher, Alain Prost and Kimi Räikkönen in Formula One…to Tony Stewart, Jeff Gordon and Dale Earnhardt Jr. in NASCAR… virtually all famous race car drivers have started their careers in Karting.

CKI is making karting the official first rung in North America.
With a WKA-sanctioned national race series starting in 2009, Championship Karting International has been founded with a mission: Wanting more than a kart racing series, our founders are absolutely committed to using the kart racing arena to train the Motorsports champions of tomorrow.

CKI offers the highest level of karters, the highest level of competition, with a focus on safety, fairness and sportsmanship. To help them hone their racing skills, CKI provides young drivers the knowledge and counsel of our motorsports and Karting professionals.

But training doesn’t end at the checkered flag. CKI is committed to teaching drivers how to conduct the business of racing as effective spokespeople and representatives for their sponsors and their sport. For example, at each race CKI helps drivers strengthen their promotional and presentation skills through live event coverage.  What’s more, selected CKI events are broadcast on National Television, reaching millions of US households to promote Karting and Motorsports.

Although CKI manages the highest level Karting Series in North America, it is also committed to promoting Karting from the grass roots levels with aggressive programs developed over the past year.

The Race Lives Near You

Building a Nationwide Karting Network comprising of clubs, track owners, and shops.  Setting a vision of increased public awareness to prove that Karting no longer has to be a secret.  To develop a diverse group of corporate partners supporting the network with services, merchandise, and loyalty programs designed to benefit the network, and ultimate the Karting public and grow the sport.

Karting’s Got Talent

A program designed for kart drivers to develop their skills and move up the ladder on motorsports.  As part of CKI’s Race Lives Near You program, Drivers are selected through an application process.  Sponsorships are made available for the selected drivers to support their racing program at the club level, regional level or national level, and on to the next level of motorsports.

CKI First Time Entrant Program

At selected CKI Events in 2010, CKI will offer ten “first-time” CKI Entrants an opportunity to receive entry fees when they travel back home to their local or regional racing series.  The entry fees will be paid directly to the local or regional racing organization of the drivers’ choice to assist them in their budgets, and keep them racing for the 2010 racing season.
