CKI Releases Track Map for Grand Final at Mandalay Bay October 21-24, 2010

Satisfying much anticipation in the National Karting Community, CKI today released the details of the temporary circuit to be used at its Grand Championship Event at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas.

“It’s great that CKI is able to secure such an exciting venue.  It will be a perfect opportunity to showcase karting to the general public in a huge way,” said former Indy 500 winner Buddy Rice.
Measuring 7/10 of a mile, the circuit will feature a 750’ straightaway with plenty of width throughout the course, at 35-feet minimum.
 “The course layout presents many passing points with plenty of room for some very exciting racing.  The Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino has been a tremendous partner throughout our planning for this event.  This will be a perfect finale to our 2010 racing season.” Said CKI General Manager Kevin Williams.
The race week will kick off with a practice day on Thursday October 21, with races both Saturday and Sunday.  Hotel rooms are also available in advance at the CKI website that links directly to the hotel registration. http://www.championshipkartracing.com. This new venue will clearly be a neutral field for all of the drivers.  The crowning of all of the CKI Champions will take place at this prestigious event, following Sunday’s Racing action at the yearend gala alongside Mandalay’s Lagoon Pool.
