WSK Saturday Report
Today started off with me having to run in an engine during the morning session. In qualifying I struggled to find the pace and ended up near the back. Heat one started off decent, but I was a little caught off guard with the aggressiveness in the first few laps and lost a couple spots I made up at the start. I am very aggressive in American standards, but not even close in Europe. Around lap 7 I had an engine failure which forced me to retire. Heat two started off better and I made up a few spots and started to move up. Entering the last corner two drivers wrecked and I had no where to go giving me my second DNF.
The final heat of the day was very good. We found a few tenths and moved up to finish 17th. I am 4 tenths off, but with me being 22 pounds over weight it is a big problem. At this track it is worth an easy 3 tenths in KF. Even though it is an uphill battle I am learning so much and cant thank the Top Kart boys enough. I am looking forward to my upcoming races in the states. Tomorrow I will work to get a top 15 in the last heat and move into the final from the last chance heat. It will be very difficult, but we can do it!
